Drive Legal USA launched to serve one group of people well: visitors to the United States who want to own a vehicle here. The company behind it has been doing this work for years.
Who is behind this
Drive Legal USA is the international arm of Dirt Legal, which has handled more than 20,000 registrations and holds over a thousand reviews across Google and Facebook. Those figures belong to Dirt Legal, not to this brand. We state that plainly because a new company claiming somebody else's track record as its own would be worth distrusting.
What the connection means in practice is that the process, the people and the systems here are not new. Only the brand is, along with the audience it is built for.
Why a separate brand
Dirt Legal serves people who live in the United States. Ride Legal serves owners of exotic and high-end vehicles. Neither is written for somebody reading in a second language, on a phone, in a different time zone, who has already been told no by a dealer.
That visitor has a different set of questions, and the answers are different too. Building a separate site was the honest way to answer them properly.
What we do and do not do
- We prepare the paperwork and submit it to the state of Montana
- We can find and buy a vehicle for you, or sell one when you leave
- We form a Montana LLC when one is required
- We do not sell insurance and cannot advise on cover
- We do not give legal or tax advice
- We are not a government body and have no special standing with one
